Achievable Capacity Design for Irregular and Clustered High Performance Mesh Networks

چکیده
This study has presented the End to End (E2E) upper bound capacity limits for high performance mesh nodes that can be deployed in rural and remote areas. The achievable capacity limits for both irregular and clustered placements of nodes have been analytically derived. Numerical results based on the data sheets of IEEE 802.11a/n standards reveal the efficacy of such designs to typical rural networks such as the Peebles valley mesh in rural South Africa.

A Novel Multicast Tree Construction Algorithm for Multi-Radio Multi-Channel Wireless Mesh Networks
Many appealing multicast services such as on-demand TV, teleconference, online games and etc. can benefit from high available bandwidth in multi-radio multi-channel wireless mesh networks. When multiple simultaneous transmissions use a similar channel to transmit data packets, network performance degrades to a large extant. Designing a good multicast tree to route data packets could enhance the...
متن کاملOn The Data Gathering Capacity of Large Scale Multihop Wireless Networks
In typical sensor network and mesh network scenarios, a subset of nodes (‘sources’) must send data to some designated set of destinations (“gateways”), while other nodes serve as relays. This some-to-some communication paradigm is distinct from the well-studied many-to-many, many-to-one, broadcast, and multicast paradigms, and is perhaps more prevalent than the other paradigms. We study the sca...
متن کاملPerformance Analysis of a New Neural Network for Routing in Mesh Interconnection Networks
Routing is one of the basic parts of a message passing multiprocessor system. The routing procedure has a great impact on the efficiency of a system. Neural algorithms that are currently in use for computer networks require a large number of neurons. If a specific topology of a multiprocessor network is considered, the number of neurons can be reduced. In this paper a new recurrent neural ne...

In recent years a new type of wireless networks named wireless mesh networks has drawn the attention of researchers. In order to increase the capacity of mesh network, nodes are equipped with multiple radios tuned on multiple channels emerging multi radio multi channel wireless mesh networks. Therefore, the main challenge of these networks is how to properly assign the channels to the radios. O...
